Today was a busy day. I got to the nursery to volunteer during the ladies' Bible study and I've never seen so many kids in there at once before. When one quieted down another started back up. I felt like I was running around in circles cuddling, cooing and calming. It's great to see their mothers pick them up and their little faces light up with glee and they look like they can't contain their excitement. My discipler led the Bible study so she added 3 extra darlings. I was really glad to have them because they were SOOOO helpful. The eldest is especially good at dealling with the little ones.

It's funny because for the first time ever the nursery was segragated by gender. I don't know if it was because the little girls all wanted to flock to the little helper in awe of her or if it was because she was SOOO good at taking charge and ordering play. In any event, one side was pretty much all girls playing together and the other side was me and the boys. When some of the moms came to pick up their daughters and looked around in their usual spot I just said, "They're on the girls' side". I must say though, it was lots of fun. Children are so precious and I thank God for all the wonderful godly examples of motherhood I've been able to see volunteering in the nursery. It's not an easy job but they are faithfully teaching, training, correcting and loving their precious little ones to Christ.

I got to sit in on a counseling session again today with another lady who goes to my church. In fact I've known her since I first started working because she also used to go to the church I used to attend. I'm really glad that the directors encouraged me to observe different counselors. They're so different and their personalities definitely come out during the sessions (especially to me because I know them). I really liked how good she was about clearly and faithfully presenting the Gospel message. My heart was burdened to see so many young GIRLS coming in not knowing, that there is another road in life and that the one they are headed on leads to destruction. 2 of the 3 said they'd never heard the Gospel message that was presented. I was really impressed with the reality that I am, right now, in a mission field.

I've been going through My Utmost for His Highest and discussing with a friend who's doing the same. The current theme is centered around purity. We've been bouncing off of each other how deliberate and intentional this means we need to be from our living to our dreams and motives. Tonight in church we went over Matt 5: 8 about the pure in heart seeing God. In Jer. 17:9 we read that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, This blows the theory of "good within each of us" out of the water. But, the thing is being pure in heart is something that we can't do, God has to do it for us. I think of Ez 36:26 "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.." only then can we be pure in heart and only the pure in heart can seek God. Michael admonished us to constantly and deliberately consecrate ourselves to God so that He can make us pure in heart. I hope that as God teaches me to live a life that demonstrates the new heart and spirit He has given me that He will give me the opportunities and the boldness to seize them to share this truth with those who don't know of the hope that we have in Him to one day be free of the bondage of this world's sin and to not only have a new heart but also be with Him.
