LANGUAGE CONFUSION
Today I asked my language helper for a saucer/plate to put my hot teacup on. She promptly opened the refrigerator and handed me a package of uncooked chicken. She thinks she's so funny. But yep, now I know the difference between the word for chicken and plate.
Later she was showing me some places on a map of the country and telling me about how one city was famous because of the many people there. She further explained that there were many well-known, historic and ancient people located there! At this point, I told her I did not understand. For some reason I keep mixing up the word church and people/person. So now I won't be asking for a 2/3/4-church table at eateries anymore!
