New running gear

So on my visit to the US I got much needed new running shoes and running clothes for winter weather. I ran while I was in DC and for the first time in 4 years my knee started hurting. I wasn't sure if it was the hills or the shoes. I leaned towards the shoes since I used to run those hills on the mall when I lived there with no pain and when I returned and ran after stopping for a week, the pain was still there. The pain was taking longer to start but it was still there at some point during the duration of my half hour run. I figured that it may take me a while to get used to the new shoes.

I was really concerned and after praying about it made up my mind to see a doctor during my winter break if it didn't get better. Today was the first day I ran without any knee pain for 30 minutes! I was so happy. I'd heard that once you hit a certain age your body starts falling apart but I really didn't want it to happen so soon, be my knees or prevent me from getting the most convenient and cheap form of exercise that is available to me. So now I can enjoy my new gear pain-free and happily!
