SUMMER FUN IN GRAND CAYMAN

Well, I just couldn't get enough and ended up back here again. I'd made some friends the last time and they were getting married so I was able to witness the blessing of their marital union! I love the people here and their great, warm, welcoming hearts. I love seeing my old friends and making new ones. It reminds me a lot of things I remember about home.

Then, the day I was supposed to leave I still wasn't ready to leave and extended my trip. Which was great because I was able to meet up for some one-on-one time with some lovely ladies I'd met while here and finally get to eat a turtleburger! It was OH-so yummy! I wasn't too happy to find that with all of the regular running I was doing (I'd gotten past 4 miles almost every morning) I'd gained 5 pounds while I was here! I think Kristie's yummy cooking had something to do with that as well. Although, I suppose I should be thankful. The last time I was here I gained 5 pounds in a week. So 5 pounds in 2 weeks could be seen as a progression of sorts! Also during my extension all of my paperwork for my job next year came through so I was able to follow-up in person about that praise!

The funny thing is the day I finally left, I got to my aunt's house in the capital and checked my mail to find an e-mail from the GC Dept of Education inviting me to interview with them. Before this second trip I'd been informed that they didn't currently have anything available that I was qualified for. If they'd sent it a week or so before it would have been a feasible possibility and I could have met up with them while I was there-and it was oh-so tempting not to pounce on a job offer there! I informed them that I'd just accepted a position elsewhere and I'm not sure what'll happen the following year but if I was available, I'd love to be considered for a position. So the contact told me she'd keep me informed and contact me the following year if there were any positions in my field.

Just another way the Father works in His perfect timing to bring things together. I would love for that to be etched in my brain at all times and in every situation and not have to bring it to the forefront of my memory!
