THANKFUL FOR THANKSGIVING

Things have been pretty crazy for me of late so Thanksgiving was a welcome mini-break. At dinner the hostess had verses at each of our settings, even the children's which were read to them that were focused on thanksgiving. Mine was Phil. 4:6-7, Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. It was very appropriate.

My roomie and I had gone over to their house for dinner and had a lovely dinner and wonderful time fellowshipping with them and hanging out with the kids. It still blows me away that their eldest daughter is now able to hold a conversation and of course their son never fails to amuse and entertain me. After dinner he asked me to play thumb war. I don't think he's aware of the rules of thumb war (or that there are any). Imagine my surprise while counting down prior to declaring thumb war when I got ambushed!
