This weekend I volunteered at my church's ESOL Thanksgivinb lunch. I enjoyed meeting some of the students and after lunch we all sang a few hymns of Thanksgiving. I'm so thankful for the people who faithfully donate their time and lives to reaching out to strangers in this foreign land to help them out practically as well as reaching them spiritually.

Later on we had our last dinner at the house with Mary. Originally there was supposed to be a group of people coming over for dinner. I was a little sad about this because I had wanted just the 5 of us to get together at some point before she left. Slowly, people started declining and it ended up being just the 5 of us after watching the most recent downloaded episode of The Office huddled on the sofa in front of Lauren's laptop. I really enjoyed that time that the 5 of us spent together. We were barely finished with dinner when a guest arrived, a guy from Mary and

Rose's small group. After he finished eating he indulged us in a frenetic, giggle-filled photo fest.

Then another guest arrived for dinner but had to leave shortly thereafter. However, by 10 we had more guests trickling in, with lots of conversation and of course lots of laughter! I was really thankful for how God orchestrated the evening and the time He gave us with Mary during her last week.
